This elegant woven silk kimono has a silvery silhouette of blossom branches against a deep blue sky. The pattern has been created using the traditional Meisen technique.
Meisen is identifiable by the ikat-style weave which creates a charming feathered edge around the design. The technique was used predominately in the latter Meiji period and continued to be a popular method of production up until 1950.
Despite its age this kimono has been lovingly preserved and remains in perfect condition.
